SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts:

I'M LOVING - Spending quality time with my granddaughter.  I feel honored that she chose to spend her Spring break with me.

ONE OF A KIND  - It is supposed to be good luck to rub the nose of the seal at the foot of the Seal Beach Pier.  Why not?

SOFT - My Gracie is very soft and cuddly and warm.

I AM HERE - Surfing and nursing a cold. Boo!

SOMETHING I MADE - I made this little pin cushion by hand piecing and quilting.

NOSTALGIA - This is my late husband and I.  One of our kids captured this moment.  I would love to have that moment with him again.

STICKY - My favorite breakfast has sticky honey in it.

Enjoy your week and

SPRING BREAK

My granddaughter, Annette, decided to spend her Spring break here.  I feel honored that she wanted to spend this time with me.  What fun we had together playing in Southern California.

She's back home in Idaho now.  What a great kid!

FIVE YEARS AGO - I brought Trudy home.

CROPPED - This was cropped to get a better view of the moon without distracting wires.

LETTER - Yup, just a letter.

FULL - A vase full of Spring.

I'M QUILTING

Here is another quilt-in-progress.  And, another one I cannot quite yet reveal.  But, I am getting it quilted.

It will even be finished in time (I'm pretty sure).

I'm taking a break from it tomorrow and going to the Glendale Quilt Show.  Maybe I'll see you there.

I hope you

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts:

10:00 AM - What I was doing at 10:00 AM.

FAR AWAY - Missing my family who is far away from here; but, close to my heart.

SOMETHING GOOD - I made taco pickles and it really is something good.

PARTIAL - This one was hard for me for some reason.  I decided on a partial view of this colorful retro fan.

FRESH - I just love the fresh smell of a newly mown lawn.

CARE - It's nice to have someone or some fur babies to care for.

EVENING - Sometimes I like to relax with my hand quilting in the evening.  TV time.

Enjoy your week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

QUILTY HUGS

I have been working on things I cannot show you for so long:  gifts for people who may see the postings here.  So, while it seems that I am unproductive, I do keep plugging along.

I can now show you the healing-heart quilt for a gal in my on-line friendship group, C-R-A-F-T.  She received it yesterday.  Members sent me a 9.5" heart of their choice and I put it together and quilted it.  I hope she likes it.

Now I am neatening my quilt room so I can tackle more projects that have deadlines.  Enjoy your weekend and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts:

MY NAME IS -I answer to all of these names.

ON MY MIND - Breakfast was on my mind when I took this picture.

SOMETHING BEGINNING WITH I - Ice.

CHAIR - This rocking chair belonged to my paternal grandmother.  I have fond memories of her sitting in this chair while she crocheted lace edgings and baby blankets.  The little built-in drawer has just enough room for a few sewing items.

FLY - Fly little bird, fly.

CORNER - A corner in one of my favorite stores, Cost Plus World Market.  I always find something I do or do not need there.

Have a good week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

GOOD NEWS, BAD NEWS, GOOD NEWS

Good news is that I finished the Lattice Patch quilt top I had started while with my sewing buddies in Temecula.

Bad news is that it makes number seven in my to-be-quilted pile.

Good news is that I found a really cute container in which to store my to-be-quilted tops.

Hope your are having a good week. Enjoy and
Quilt happy,

Marilyn
