SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts include these words:  Too much; A treasure; Half; I love; Something white; Give, and Zen.  This is my take on them:

"TOO MUCH"  food for lunch.  But, it's nice to not have to cook dinner tonight. Doggie bag please.

"A TREASURE"  Trudy is a treasure, as is Gracie.

"HALF"  Half & Half for my morning coffee.  I'm not a fan of plastic moo.

"I LOVE"  a good salad, particularly when the weather turns warm.

"SOMETHING WHITE"   at least for a few days.

"GIVE"  These girls give me a lot of joy.  Oh boy, those dogs made it in a few spots this week.

"ZEN" Can you feel the vibe?

I hope you have a good week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

BIRTHDAY BLOCKS

As think I mentioned a while back, I belong to a friendship group that is exchanging birthday blocks. It has been a hoot for sure.  I remembered to get pictures from this month's meeting.

Ellen chose "baskets" for her birthday blocks:

Gayle chose "The Beach":

Mary chose "Red, White & Blue" blocks:

Aren't they going to turn into fun quilts?

Hope you are enjoying your week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts include these words:  Hobby, After, Text, Private, Hand-drawn, Sun-flare, and Leaves.  Here is my take on them.

"HOBBY"  Not much of a stretch I know.

"AFTER"  Just an empty bowl of what was oatmeal.

"TEXT"  Thank you Susan C for this darling embroidery.  I love it!

"PRIVATE"  That lump under the covers is my mini schnauzer seeking her privacy.

"HAND-DRAWN"    Just that.

"SUN-FLARE"  Trudy looks as if she is climbing into that flare.

"LEAVES" My avocado tree hasn't been doing very well; but here comes the new growth and the bees to help pollinate.

I hope you have a good week and

Quilt happy,
Marilyn

ROW BY ROW

I joined a row by row on-line swap last year.  There were six of us that participated.  It was just loads of fun.  I really enjoyed the entire process. Everyone picked their own theme and made their first row.  We then mailed by rotation so everyone did a row that would in some way enhance your row.  We also sent along some fabric to use if they wanted.  My theme was "Out of Africa"; my row is the girls.  This is what came back to me in yesterday's mail.

Isn't is just fabulous?!  I love each and every row. Thank you ladies for such a lovely exchange!

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

I hope you have a good week and

SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts include:

"PART OF ME"

"OPEN"  I must have a touch of OCD.  This open drawer drives me crazy.

"GEOMETRIC"  I have become addicted to Hexies.  This is going to be a cute quilt block eventually.

"OUT THE WINDOW"  We finally got a little rain early this week. We actually got a little hail; but, I didn't get a photo of that.

"REMEDY"    This brace is just the remedy I need when I work on my hexies.

"SWEET"  Nothing like a dish of sweet berries for dessert.

I hope you have a good week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

SUNDAY SNAPS

"FIX"  Hmmm; looks like a fix is needed here.

"12 O'CLOCK"  My view at Noon during my recent quilt retreat.

"REFLECTION  Sometimes you just need to pause for a bit of reflection.

"STILL LIFE"

"THANK YOU"  for letting us hang with you, Mom.

"STARTS WITH "R" - I really was hoping that I was going to be able to have rain for this; but alas no rain so far.  So instead, it is roasted salmon dinner.  Really tasty,  roasted salmon dinner.

I hope you have a good week and
Quilt happy,

Marilyn
