SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts include these words:  This happened; Season; Mess; Snack; Fill the frame; I sat here; 4 O'Clock

"THIS HAPPENED"  I finished getting the piping binding sewn down on this quilt.

"SEASON"  I found this salt box at Cost Plus World Market. I love that I can make the decision without having to hunt for which salt I am going to use.

"MESS"  The never-ending mess of a quilt room.  It just seems to creep up on you.

"SNACK"  Just a handful once in a while.

"FILL THE FRAME"  and along with the nuts....

"I SAT HERE" at my writing desk.  I must say it is seldom used for writing these days.

"4 O'CLOCK" According to Verizon.

I hope you have a good week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts include these words:  Shape; Beauty; Breakfast; Inspired; Dark; This Smells Good; and Something Green.

"SHAPE"  I'm not even sure what this is; but, it is part of my potpourri.

"BEAUTY"  I have six beautiful granddaughters.  Madeline recently won Miss Niceville High School.  I believe she won for the beauty from within as well.

"BREAKFAST"  Baked eggs before cooked

and after

"INSPIRED"   I'm inspired by my quilt guild to get it done!

"DARK"  It feels peaceful as it starts to turn dark each night.

"THIS SMELLS SO GOOD" Oh that first cup of coffee in the morning...

"SOMETHING GREEN"  This green desert succulent is also the "green" way to go with California's current drought.  It is mostly watered by the morning dew.

I hope you have a good week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

A NOTEPAD

When I was in Florida recently, my daughter saw my notepad I made a few years back.  She hinted that she needed one.  I finally got around to making her one yesterday.

It turned out nice and it really is handy to use, especially for shopping.

Hope you are enjoying your week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts include these words:  On my Table; Two Tone; Lunch; This is Good; I Stood Here, and Egg.  This is my take on them:

"ON MY TABLE"  My sewing table that is.

"TWO TONE"  Is this a two tone or a print?

We quilters probably are most familiar with this as a two tone or a tone on tone.

"LUNCH"  A beautiful stuffed portobello mushroom.  So yummy!

"THIS IS GOOD"   My neighbors surprised me with this outside my back door.  Made my day!

"I STOOD HERE"  Just that....

"EGG" My favorite way to eat an egg is deviled.  What's your favorite way?

I hope you have a good week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

AROUND THE WORLD (ATW) SWAP

The ATW swap blocks are completed and mailed to everyone, finally.  For this swap, each person who signed on, sent out a fat eighth of their desired fabric. Then that fabric was used in your chosen block.  Originally I had selected a rather modern block.  But, as the swappers began to commit to their blocks, I realized I needed to pick something more traditional.  Here are the blocks I made for everyone, using their fabrics plus fabrics from my stash.

I enjoyed working with the different fabrics, finding it a great exercise.  Now my blocks are starting to arrive and I'm looking forward to seeing them all together.  Once they all arrive, I promise to share with you.

Hope you are enjoying your week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn
