My next UFO is due to my guild, Quilters by the Sea, on June 9, 2011. So, I pushed the last couple of days to finish piecing the top.
It is inspired from "Thinking Outside the Box" by Sandi Cummings & Karen Flamme. I actually got the square in square blocks at a guild raffle about 7 years ago. I added the yellow squares and put the stripes on them. All I have to do now, is get it layered, quilted, bound, and a label put on it. But, I think my chances are looking good at this point. Now, how to quilt it? Any ideas? Frances?
Quilt happy,
Marilyn

Great job. You know I don't my own quilting, but I think I'd like something the opposite of all your wonderful straight lines. Maybe bubbles!
I like this one a lot! I don't have any good suggestions for quilting ideas... but you are so talented, I know that whatever you decide will look amazing! Great job on the quilt top! Can't wait to see the finished product!
That is just lovely Marilyn! I love working with batiks--all those dreamy colors are so beautiful.
I really love this quilt! Yes, something non linear ... circles...big bubbles! love it!!!!

It looks lovely. It will look wonderful however you decide to quilt it! ;)
Really lovely quilt. Beautiful fabrics, use of light & space. Great job. Wish I could give advice on how to quilt it, but I'm still trying to learn that. Definitely see what Frances advises.
And you are way ahead of me on completing your UFO goals for the year. Great job!

It reminds me of chopsticks and sushi...lol....hugs Khris
I agree with Khris...chopsticks and sushi. Love this quilt. Wavy lines on the diagonal. Just a thought.
I love this one! Have no idea about the quilting of it. But I am sure you will come up with something.
Marilyn, you have outdone yourself!, I can't wait to see it in person.
Oh....I just love this quilt...is so striking and fun.
Wonderful Marilyn!! It is so contemporary. I usually just meander so no good with the quilting ideas!
hugs Karen
