Are you familiar with the night-blooming cactus known as, Queen of the Night? There is one in my backyard. For obvious reasons, it is hard to get a good picture.
I took this picture this evening before it got completely dark.
Here is one that I took last night. It doesn't bloom every year; but it does most years, and the bloom only lasts one night. This cactus is very large with over 50 blooms that will pop out a few each night until they are all gone. I just love this plant. Isn't mother nature fabulous?
Quilt happy,

Gosh, she is a beautiful plant! I've never seen one; hope she'll be blooming when I visit...hugzzzzzzzzzzzz
That plant is fabulous.....
I have a huge one in the trees in my front garden. The sad thing is that it's so high sometimes I don't even know it's blooming but it's wonderful to look up and see about 20 of those flowers.
It is beautiful!
I have never heard of that cactus. How wonderful to live in a warm climate! Do these night bloomers have a scent? I guess they would be too big to grow in a pot. Yeah, I thought so.
So beautiful. Love those.
Proof that we will all find our nitch if we just allow ourselves to think outside the box!
