RANDOM THOUGHTS or RAMBLING ON

This week I finally bought a new washer/dryer.  It's been 20 years since I bought my last one. Not bad I suppose. My washer/dryer live in my garage. You know that meant I had to clean out the garage. Surprisingly, it only took the better part of a day.

I have had a stackable washer/dryer combo for so long, that it suits me fine. After all, one person can't have that much laundry, can they?

While cleaning out the garage I ran across this among my mother's stuff.

My brother's christening dress and my christening dress. And, those are my baby shoes. I'm sure there must have been shoelaces on them at one time. But, that is nothing more than string. I know we lived in the country in Fresno; but, seriously?

I did manage to get some sewing in this week.

A table topper for the Talking Threads Opportunity basket. Nine members made a block each.  All I did was sash it and put it together. Ready for quilting next.

And I sewed an apron and hot pads for the Wednesday Wackos Opportunity basket.
Have a good week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

GRADUATION TIME

Once again, I have not been doing much sewing.  I traveled to Florida for my Granddaughter Madeline's high-school graduation. We are so proud of her. She received a  Florida's Brightest Future Scholarship award. This is based on a combination  of GPA, SAT scores and community service hours.

Maddie is the short one in the center.

Mom, Maddie, and Dad.

Look at all the flowers. She had fun passing out leis to her friends.

And, you knew there had to be a quilt.

My favorite picture of the fam is of the aprons I made for each of them (except for Dad)

Have a good week and

Quilt happy,
