RANDOM WEDNESDAY

Remember that modern quilt I was making. It’s finished.

I am calling it City Blocks. Thank you to Joe Cunningham for such a fun workshop which he calls “Rock the Block”. For more information on Joe, take a look at his web site here.
I backed the quilt with fabric I picked up a few years ago at Ikea. I also used a facing binding instead of the traditional method of binding.

Last week I was at a quilt retreat at a nunnery in Temecula, California. It is such a lovely spot for a retreat. I captured this photo on our way to dinner.

While there I worked on several small projects I needed to catch up on. I did manage to make this quilt top for philanthropy.

I am thinking it will make some little girl very happy.

I hope you have a good week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn
