NOTHING LIKE A QUILTING RETREAT

There is nothing like a five-day retreat up in the mountains to get a whole heap of stuff done and just plain ol' regroup.

Unfortunately, I cannot show everything.  Some are gifts; but, they will be given out soon and then. . . .

I continued to sew for the guild's quilt show boutique.

More Lanyards

Click-It Bags
(opps, I snuck in Nancy's for the picture)

Ity-Bity Bags

And, I did make something for myself.
A small Cross-Body Bag.

But, best of all, is the wonderful group of women at the retreat. Just one fabulous moment after another.  They say laughter is the best medicine.  We must have cured ourselves of all our illnesses.

MORE BOUTIQUE STUFF

The Orange Grove Quilters Guild quilt show is quickly creeping up on us. We had a Boutique Sew-In Day last week and managed to add more to the growing pile.

Then Robin and I had Sew-Together day on Thursday where we continued to make more things for the boutique.

Just a peek at what you will see July 29th and 30th, 2016 at the Garden Grove Elks Club.

Card case key rings

Aprons

Table Runners

And, members keep sending in more and more. I think we are going to have a great boutique.

Quilt happy,

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

It's Mother's Day today. My mother passed earlier this year and today is a bit unsettled for me. My cousin sent me this picture of my mom probably taken back in the late 70s. I think it is a fun picture. Don't you just love the glasses?

I miss you Mom.

How do you like my new German Shepard? I've named him Gunter. My daughter sent him to me because I told her I had been thinking a lot about German Shepards lately.

I think she decided this was a safer way for me to deal with a large-breed dog. I must say, I agree.  I think he is very handsome.

I love my gorgeous Mother's Day flowers.

Thank you Janet & Robert! What a delightful Spring bouquet.

I hope you have a great week and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn
