Joe the quilter, Joe Cunningham, was at our guild this week. I just love
his work, his enthusiasm, and his love of his craft/art. Oh heck, I even love his guitar playing.
His lecture was a sampling of his most recent
quilts. He started his quilting journey in 1979. He told us he really only makes at least
six-foot square quilts.
I took his
workshop and really enjoyed the freeing experience of just letting it evolve
and grow up to be what it wants, not what or how we think it should. Oh sure, there are certain guidelines and
fences along the way. But, no mistakes, no warts, no crying. Here are a few
examples of how we played.
Hope
your week is going well and
Quilt happy,
Marilyn
