FINISHED-ON-FRIDAy (Wk 16)

I was going to make each placemat with a different fabric pocket and binding.  I had a lot of green; but, as you can see it really doesn't have enough contrast.  And, most of the red I had was orange red.  So, I broke my rule and bought that great red fabric.

Good news is the recipient likes both the green and the red.  So I am sending all of them.  Have a good weekend and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

I like both the green and the red too, but especially the red. You can never have enough red fabrics. Great little project. I have a few placemats to make for Meals on Wheels.

They are really pretty, Marilyn and both colors go well, but yes, the red fabric does really make the fabric pop! It provides a lovely contrast.

SewCalGal sent me :) I was born and raised in Long Beach and am now living in Northern Calif, half way between SF and Sacramento. My daughter is going to go to UCLA in the fall so I will be coming down that way often! Don't tell her that though :) Just wanted to pop in and say hi and let you know I'm following you now :)
