FAVORITE VEGETABLE

Do you have a favorite vegetable?  I love vegetables, eggplant, okra, asparagus, I'm not even going to get into salads.  But, I must say, my absolute favorite is the artichoke.

My mother always boiled her artichokes and I also cooked them this way most of my life.  However, lately I have been roasting them.  I found the recipe on Pinterest, another favorite thing.

I love how they turn out and I don't have to pay much attention to them while they are cooking. But, I'm not turning on the oven these days.  It's just too hot and humid here.  So, I found another artichoke recipe on Pinterest for crockpot artichoke.

Brilliant.  I know it won't be very fast; but, I have lots or time.  Ready to cook away while I'm sewing.

I'll let you know how it turns out.  And, I'd love for you to share your favorite veggie and recipe.  Now it's time to get back to my quilt room.

Hope you are having a good week and
Quilt happy,
Marilyn

I LOVE artichokes too. The grilled ones are fabulous, but I have never heard of crock pot ones. I precook my grilled ones by steaming them in the microwave which speeds up the process.

Funny, that I too grew up enjoying boiled artichokes. A friend cooks them on the BBq with a bit of olive oil and baslamic and they are yummy. I need to try different ways to cook them. Thanks for sharing the recipes and inspiration. Yes, to me this is total #CreativeGoodness, aka #YummyGoodness.

Carrots, just the basic vegetable...not much on them...

I love vegetables - any kind. Right now I have tons of different kinds of zucchinis, beans, cucumbers, tomatoes and peas in my garden. I also love cauliflower and broccoli. I have a recipe for a broccoli salad. It has chopped broccoli, frozen peas, raisins or dried cranberries and sunflower seeds. A bit of sugar and some mayo is all you need. Sorry I missed this post. I think we were at the beach last Sunday.
