If I made New Year's resolutions, it would be to make more quilts for charity. My guild, Quilters by the Sea, held a Community Relations Workshop in December. The Community Relations group had put together kits complete with backing and binding. All we had to do was go up to the table, pick out a kit, pull out our sewing machines and supplies and start on it. We had a lot of flimsies put together that day. I arrived a little late and only got this far. I plan on getting it finished this week. I think it is going to be a "happy" quilt. Thank you ladies for the great work you do.
Quilt happy,

It looks great Marilyn....what's a flimsie??? Is it just a pieced quilt top before the batting stage? That's what I reckon it is, let's see how close I get to the mark! Hugs Naomi
That looks great! I love the colours. I am trying to do more charity quilts too.
that looks like a "sister kit" to one I made this past year for the guild! ;)
Love all the colors, it really is a happy quilt.
Very cheerful quilt. Going to make some kid very happy. Thanks for all you do to help others. You are so very special.

Looking good Marilyn!! We call our community service cuddle quilts. We have two meetings a year where we just sew cuddle quilts and we also have the kits like you have. Our challenge is also donation quilts. I usually try to make 3 or so for both my guilds.
hugs Karen
