I QUILTED FEATHERS.....REALLY

I just got back from a Cindy Needham machine quilting workshop.  What a fabulous time everyone had.  Cindy does heirloom quilting.  And, she is soooo good.  I will never be that heirloom quilter; but, oh golly did I have a good time.   Here are a few photos for show and tell:

Above is the sample I worked on.  I was afraid to make my sample block on solid silk or even a solid color.  This is part of a panel.

But, here is the back of my sample. 

I learned a lot.  And, mostly I learned to get out of my box and not fear this kind of quilting; but, to just have fun with it.  And, now I’m off to practice, practice, practice.
