SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts:

"E" - is for Elephants.  My mother's collection of elephants.

"F" - is for Fur babies.  You know they had to get in here.

"G" - Green Groceries.  Kale is the one right now.  I bought a new salad mix the other day:  Asian greens.  Tasted a lot like what I imagine weeds taste like.  If fact, I'm pretty sure I've pulled and tossed some in the past.  

"H" - is for Hair.  

"I" - is for Ice

"J" - is for Jars.  I think I'm obsessed with jars, all kinds and sizes.

"K"- is for Keyboard.  Seems appropriate.

SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts:

GAME - Oceanopoly instead of Monopoly.

WHERE I'M FROM - the raisin capital of the world.

"A" - is for Aloe a good soother for a sunburn.  

   

"B" - is for Bed, where is can be so hard to leave on some mornings.

"C" - is it okay to have Chocolate & Coffee for breakfast?

"D" - is for Dishwasher, on of my favorite appliances.

SUNDAY SNAPS ON MONDAY

This week's prompts:

A little late because I have been away quilting.  

FAVE WORD -  How does one pick a favorite word?  But, this is clearly one of my favorite words.  After all, I hung it in my house.

CRISP - Yum!

TRIANGLE - This is The Triangle at Long Beach State University. It is mostly used for sporting events and is quite an imposing site.

LOUD - My noisiest quilt.  And, a favorite.

  

ANGLE - I'm at a quilt retreat in Mesquite, Nevada.  This is a view from our room, a rather nice angle.

BEST - And, speaking of quilt retreats, they are just the best fun for us quilters!

A FINISH IS ALWAYS GOOD

My "Emerald Quilt" is finished.  I actually started this quilt last year.  This was made for the 2013 Pantone color of the year, Emerald. 

Bears Quilt Shop did the quilting for me. Didn't they do a super Job.  Thanks Vivs.  I think the feathers work perfectly for a Goose in the Pond.

This year's Pantone color of the year is Radiant Orchid.  Maybe I'll start a Radiant Orchid quilt while in Florida.

I have to share a new find with you. 

This goat cheese salad blend is amazing.

Paired with heirloom tomatoes, a bit of avocado, with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar and a touch of sea salt.  It's like eating candy.

SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts:

HEALTHY -  It's hot, hot, hot here.  So eating a healthy salad sounds perfect!

I DON'T LIKE - these hot, hot, dog days of summer and neither does Gracie.

KEY - My well used key fob is still working, barely.  But, it still opens the door.

  

PERSON - My lovely granddaughter in a pensive moment.

EVEN - These two ones are even, but odd.

BEGINNING - of making my morning smoothie.

SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts:

BROKEN -  My favorite flower pot of my mother's is broken.  I now have to be more creative when I arrange the flowers. 

ORANGE - roses and oh so pretty.

REPETITION - and keeping with orange, orange bell peppers (so sweet).

HOW I FEEL TODAY - Just like Gracie and the dog days of summer.  

  

FALL - You know Fall is right around the corner when you start seeing pumpkins for sale.

OUT OF PLACE - My fur babies usually lie in their beds while I sew; but, Gracie looks "out of place" on the hardwood floor.

SUNDAY SNAPS

I have had a complicated week and I have an abbreviated version of Sunday Snaps.

This week's prompts:  10:00 AM; In my cup; Stripes; Button; DIY; Upside Down; I need.

The first 4 are in this picture. It is 10:00 am and in my striped cup are buttons from my mother's button jar.

Getting this quilt finished, finally.

Sometimes you just feel upside down.

I need this coffee; my pharmacist said so.

SUNDAY SNAPS

This week's prompts:

FRAGRANT -  Crock pot Carnitas.  In a few hours, the whole house will be very fragrant. 

MAIL - With almost everything being on-line these days, I get very little mail.

BREAKFAST - Simple breakfast is the norm.

DULL - One pair of these scissors is dull and one pair is sharp.  Boy can I get them mixed up easily. 

TRAVEL - On my way to visit with my mother and brother in Kingman, Arizona.

DESSERT - I made them their favorite family dessert:  pear pie.

NEARBY - My brother's dogs, Sadie and Patches, are always nearby when I visit.

This week's prompts:

DINNER -  Winner, winner, chicken dinner including backyard tomatoes and limes.

ARROW - I had some trouble coming up with something for this prompt...and then I saw this.

TO DO - I live by my to-do lists.  Well, almost.

BEFORE BEDTIME - Do you notice that your bedtime rituals increase with age? 

DECORATE - It's fun to change up the decorations now and again.

WORDS - My neighborhood paper only comes out once a week; but, it has the words of what's going on around town.

STYLE - My newest handbag has lots of style.
