TWO FINISHED QUILTS

This is such a busy time of year for everyone, and I am not getting much sewing done.  I actually pulled out my sewing machine and thought I may get something done; but, not so far.  It is at least plugged in and ready to go once the mood strikes.

I did manage to finish one quilt with a huge help from my granddaughter Madeline.  I went to the local quilt guild here and one of the ladies is very involved in Quilts of Valor.  In a very matter-of-fact way, she pointed out that I had plenty of time to finish a quilt for them while I was here.  So here it is:

Madeline pieced the disappearing 9 patch blocks and I assembled it, put the borders on, and included a binding made in the blue fabric.  They seemed pleased to get it at their December meeting.  Obligation fulfilled (insert smiley face).

While I'm showing finished quilts, I was in charge of this year's President's quilt at Quilters by the Sea in Long Beach.

I wasn't there to see Susan receive it; but, I'm sure she likes it.

Hope you are having a good week.

Quilt happy,
Marilyn
