SUNDAY SNAPS

I recently took possession of a wonderful book that belonged to my grandfather.  Grandpa Riddle was a Merchant Marine and this was his “International Signal and Code Book.  It is his “Writing” or penmanship he put on the first page showing his name, date, and place.

Quilters, take labeling to heart.  This is very precious to me.  And your labels will be precious to future generations.

I think this is a most appropriate “8 O’clock” for me.

Yes, I have those other kind of glasses; but, I seem to collect these one-of-a-kind “Glasses”.

When I walked into my quilt room the other day this was facing me:  a “Messy” room.

So I stopped and neatened it before I started in to quilt.

This is a “Ring” those glasses make when left on my wood counters.  I can usually rub most of it out with some good mineral oil.

I love my storage containers of many colors.  Here are some shades of “Purple”.

The word is “Spoon”.  I found these great spoons a few years ago at Cost Plus World Market.  They have some fun styles.

Hope you had a good week.

Quilt happy,
Marilyn

I love the signature in the book. I wish we still wrote with that penmanship.

Isn't it amazing how messy the sewing room gets so quickly?

Love the pretty colored glasses.

Great pics! I love the one-of-a-kind glasses and the spoon. Your messy room is not too bad. I'm still working on cleaning up my mess.

As always, such interesting interpretations for your challenge words.
I've decided the only way to keep my work space tidy is to give up quilting...and that's just not going to happen!

I already packed my polka dot glass for the retreat. It's perfect for our evening beverage.
