2017 is here; and, I am hopeful that it will be a great year.
The last couple of weeks of 2016 threw me against the wall. I had one nasty
cold or something.
So now I am looking forward to 2017 with a guild challenge to
finish some UFOs. Each year we have the same challenge. You select five UFOs
from your stack (some of us have more to select from than others). Finished means quilted, bound, and labeled. The
first one you can choose. Then the other 4 are picked at random. These are the
five I have selected:
#1 (that’s a number sign for me) is “Random Hearts”. It has to
be completed by January 11th. Yay, it’s done.
And, a close up of Bear's Quilt Shop quilting:
#2 What’s in My Garden?
#3 Quilt As You Go – Wonky Log Cabin
#4 Joe Cunningham’s - Modern City Block
#5 Bright Stripes quilt
I hope you have a good week and
Quilt happy,
Marilyn

The hearts are wonderful. It's a great way of digging out those UFOs and getting them DONE!
Those colds have really been nasty this year....and the cough seems to linger forever.
Hello Marilyn,
Good luck with your list of UFO's. A great variety to work on too which is good to keep the momentum going. Best wishes for 2017.
Happy days.
Bev.
Your heart quilt is fantastic. I love it! This is a great way of finishing some of the 'oldies'. I have had some sort of flu or something too. It has been the worst flu I have ever had. I have been in bed for the past few days. I won't tell you more except to say I have a lot of laundry to do today. Hope you're feeling better. I plan to get back to quilting soon.
I think I have what you had!! Feel crummy. Love your heart quilt.
The quilts you have picked are wonderful. We have a different challenge every year.
This year is a table runner made with the same three blocks and same fabrics. But in each block the fabrics have to be in a different place so the block takes on a whole new look.
I haven't been keeping up with my blogs very well. Hope you and the doggies are happy!
hugs
