THREE BANNERS

I actually have been sewing a little.  I made these three banners for my daughter in Florida (and completely out of my stash).  It is from an old Pat Sloan book on monthly banners. I had previously made my daughter the October, November, December and Happy Birthday banners.

Now she will have July, August and September.  I will try to get more done so she will be ready to use them starting in January.  All in good time.  I really need to replace mine as well.  Since I use them as outside decoration and made them in 2003, mine are looking pretty tired.

I hope you are enjoying your week.

QUILTY HUGS

I have been working on things I cannot show you for so long:  gifts for people who may see the postings here.  So, while it seems that I am unproductive, I do keep plugging along.

I can now show you the healing-heart quilt for a gal in my on-line friendship group, C-R-A-F-T.  She received it yesterday.  Members sent me a 9.5" heart of their choice and I put it together and quilted it.  I hope she likes it.

Now I am neatening my quilt room so I can tackle more projects that have deadlines.  Enjoy your weekend and

Quilt happy,

Marilyn

HEALING HEARTS FOR ME!

I belong to a wonderful friendship group.  We call ourselves "Wednesday Wackos", because we meet on Wednesdays, and yes, we are a bit wacko.  But most of all these women are a loving, caring, giving, and beautiful group of women.

I have had a few recent upsets in my life.  A couple of family deaths, and I took a little fall.  I haven't even been home for the past two and a half months.  But, look what came in the mail today--all the way to Florida.

I know!  Isn't is beautiful? What a wonderful surprise.  Guess what I'm sleeping with tonight?  Trudy immediately tried it out. It's folded up nicely at the moment.   This is my 2nd quilt from this wonderful group of women.  I can be a bit clumsy.  If I was home, I would also show you that quilt.

Love all of you Wacko Sisters!

HEALING HEARTS

Sadly there has been a need lately for some healing heart quilts within both, my friendship group (Wednesday Wackos) and with my Yahoo friend group.

Wrapping up with healing hearts just has to make a difference.  I know it did for me when I received my healing heart quilt.

Quilt happy,

HEALING HEARTS = QUILTY HUGS

Recently one of our quilting sisters with C-R-A-F-T Yahoo group lost her mother.  So, you know her quilty sisters had healing hearts for her.  Since I live on the same side of the world, even the same side of America as Wilma, I put the quilt together for her.

Camera shy Wilma is holding the Quilt.

But, here she is showing the back art, also known as left overs.

Before it left, I snapped this photo.  And, since Trudy hasn't shown herself for a while, I'm including it.

Quilt happy,
Marilyn

Healing Heart Quilt

I belong to a wonderful Yahoo Group called C-R-A-F-T. We have become a group of friends who happen to live, quite literally, all over the world. We have been through, birthdays, weddings, births, successes, sorrows, and funerals. And from time to time someone in the group just needs a hug. That is when a healing heart quilt is perfect. Recently one of our friends, Kath, has been going through a bit of a rough spell. She is on the mend right now; but, she needed some hugs. These hearts were collected and assembled into a quilt. Just look at all those hugs. Kath has it now and I understand she is wrapping herself with our great big group hug. We love you Kath.
