I really wanted to use this fabric for the binding and even
cutting it at 2 ¼” I could only muster up 6 strips. I joined it end to end instead of on the
diagonal hoping that would do it. And,
off I went -- blissfully sewing until OOPS!
And this was what I had left.
What would you do?
Me too. Carry on!
The galloping horse theory.
I hope you love it Mom. It’s
really comfy.
Quilt happy,
Marilyn

Beautiful!!!!! You are so talented! I love the purples. And your resourcefulness in the binding is great! Adds love and character. I bet your mom really loves it. ♥
Hello Marilyn,
Great job, I wouldn't have un-picked it either. Your Mum will love it.
Happy days.

I don't see anything amiss!!!
Beautiful quilt!!!
That's exactly what I would have done. Some times I do it on purpose.

I am sure Edie will love it...hugs

Hardly notice it on the finished edge. I have done that and now make sure I measure aroung the quilt and add and extra 12 inches at least. Your mom will love the quilt!

I am a great believer in the "galloping horse" theory. Your quilt is lovely
That's exactly what our foresisters would have done. I love it. It's beautiful and your mother will love it too!
I learned the galloping horse theory from my first quilt instructor and use it frequently. Beautiful quilt for your Mom. She'll find lots of love in it.
